In our postmodern, experience-oriented culture, people are longing for greater authenticity, integrity, and depth in their pastors and leaders. Board directors, church members, and staff alike are all eagerly seeking leaders who effectively integrate their spirituality and leadership. Pastors and executives, however, often struggle with knowing how to integrate their spiritual values and practices into their leadership and management roles. Designed for pastors, executives, administrators, managers, coordinators, and all who see themselves as leaders and who want to fulfill their God-given purpose, The Spirit-Led Leader addresses the critical fusion of spiritual life and leadership for those who not only want to see results, but who also desire to care just as deeply about who they are and how they lead as they do about what they produce and accomplish. Geoffrion creates a new vision for spiritual leadership as partly an art, partly a result of careful planning, and always a working of the grace of God

Pahl sees things in a way that some of us who lived through the history fo the Walther League don't -- or can't. He has seen and presented the League as it was and for what it really did accomplish. Pahl has done us all a great service. -- Arnie Kuntz former LCMS District President Pahl brings off his task with panache, beguiling the reader into a nostalgia trip through the joys and jostlings of yesteryear. But it's all richly documented by an author who has mastered with distinction the crafts of research and writing. -- Paul L. Maier Russell H. Seibert Professor of Ancient History, Western Michigan University 'Hopes and Dreams of All' is an enlightening, moving, and challenging history that must be read if one wishes to understand the impact of the Walther League movement. Can love and friendship blossom on a rooftop? The residents in Brisbane’s Riverview apartment block barely know each other. They have no idea of the loneliness, the lost hopes and dreams, being experienced behind their neighbours’ closed doors. Vera, now widowed, is trying her hardest to create a new life for herself in an unfamiliar city environment. Unlucky-in-love Maddie has been hurt too many times by untrustworthy men, yet refuses to give up on romance. Ned, a reclusive scientist, has an unusual interest in bees and worm farms. Meanwhile, the building’s caretaker, Jock, is quietly nursing a secret dream. When a couple of gardening enthusiasts from one of the apartments suggest they all create a communal garden on their rooftop, no one is interested. Not at first, anyway. But as the residents come together over their budding plants and produce, their lives become interconnected in ways they could never have imagined. From award-winning novelist Barbara Hannay, The Garden of Hopes and Dreams is a timely and uplifting story about the importance of community and the healing power of connection.

Often informal and always intimate, Days of Hope and Dreams reveals early, unpublished images of Bruce Springsteen that only a friend and confidant could capture. Born and raised in a working-class environment in Asbury Park, New Jersey, Springsteen has for over three decades been one of music's most influential songwriters and performers. Also born and raised in a working-class New Jersey home, photographer Frank Stefanko crossed paths with Springsteen by way of an introduction by a mutual friend, musician Patti Smith. Their meeting spurred a photographic collaboration that lasted from 1978 to 1982 and produced cover photos for Darkness on the Edge of Town and The River. Now, for the first time, 88 images from Frank Stefanko's archive of several thousand photos are seeing the light of day. Days of Hope and Dreams presents an unforgettable selection of the photographer's most candid and personal images from his time with Springsteen, accompanied by his behind-the-scenes recollections of their work and friendship.
