This book is designed as a guide for the practitioner interested in taking the Bio-medicine portion of the NCCAOM exam. The NCCAOM Bio-medicine module is made up of 50 questions divided into three sections and this book is modeled after this exam, containing questions from each of the three categories. The book is divided into five tests containing 50 questions each. Each test includes an answer sheet, answer key and detailed explanations for most questions. Practitioners not interested in taking the Bio-medicine portion of the NCCAOM exam may also find the information contained in this book useful in their everyday clinical practice.

I have been teaching NCCAOM Board Review class since 2009 in Acupuncture college in the United States. This book is the result of my teaching materials and experience. It includes most common types of the case study in Chinese Medicine and is intended to help the student prepare for a general class exam and Board licensing exam.The material is organized and divided into three parts. The first part covers general introduction regarding how to use three-steps methods and tips to solve case study questions. The second part covers case study practice questions by types. The last part includes four comprehensive case study exams. All these questions can be used as a pretest to identify areas of weakness or as a post-test to determine mastery. The practice tests can reflect the content and format of Chinese medicine class test and Board licensing examination.

It is a concise review of Acupuncture and is intended to help the student recall material taught during the first and second years of Acupuncture school. It is not intended to substitute for comprehensive textbooks. The material is organized and divided into eight chapters. It will cover an Introduction to Acupuncture, the Twelve Primary Meridians and Their Acupoints, Eight Extra Meridians and Their Acupoints, Divergent Channels, Muscular-Sinew channels, Cutaneous Regions, Luo-connecting channels, Auricular and Scalp Acupuncture, Acupuncture Techniques, Acupuncture Treatment, Cautions of Acupoints, Regulations of States and NCCAOM, and Practice-related Issues. The knowledge points are summarized by words, concisely and clearly, with appropriate charts or pictures attached. Numerous practice questions reflecting the content and format of NCCAOM exam in Acupuncture with Point Location module are included after each chapter and six comprehensive examinations at the end of the book. These questions can be used as a pretest to identify areas of weakness or as a post test to determine mastery.

This textbook in point set topology is aimed at an upper-undergraduate audience. Its gentle pace will be useful to students who are still learning to write proofs. Prerequisites include calculus and at least one semester of analysis, where the student has been properly exposed to the ideas of basic set theory such as subsets, unions, intersections, and functions, as well as convergence and other topological notions in the real line. Appendices are included to bridge the gap between this new material and material found in an analysis course. Metric spaces are one of the more prevalent topological spaces used in other areas and are therefore introduced in the first chapter and emphasized throughout the text. This also conforms to the approach of the book to start with the particular and work toward the more general. Chapter 2 defines and develops abstract topological spaces, with metric spaces as the source of inspiration, and with a focus on Hausdorff spaces. The final chapter concentrates on continuous real-valued functions, culminating in a development of paracompact spaces.
