The BABAR collaboration has performed a number of measurements on hadronic B decays to charmonium and open charm mesons. Preliminary results based on a sample of nearly 23 million B {bar B} pairs, collected between October 1999 and October 2000, are reviewed. These include measurements of exclusive branching fractions and ratios of branching fractions, as well as angular distributions.

The authors review recent results of the BABAR and Belle Collaborations on the [alpha] and [gamma] angles of the unitarity triangle, on the B → K[pi][pi] Dalitz-plot analyses, and on the searches for baryonic B decays and for B → D{bar D} decays.

We present preliminary results of several searches for rare charmless hadronic decays of the B meson using data collected by the BABAR detector at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center's PEP-II storage ring. We search for the decays hh−, h+h−h+, h+h−?°, X°h+, and X°K{sub S}°, where h =? or K, and X° =?' or?. In a sample of 8.8 million B{bar B} decays they measure the branching fractions. They calculate upper limits for the modes without a significant signal.

We present a selection of recent results from studies of rare hadronic B decays based on a sample of 232 million B{bar B} pairs, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 211 fb−1, which were recorded with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy ee− storage ring.

A selection of rare decay results from BaBar are presented, from a data sample of 82 fb{sup -1} of data taken at the {Upsilon}(4S) resonance (corresponding to 88 x 10{sup 6} B{bar B} pairs).

We present new results on hadronic B and D decays from the BABAR experiment. The first part of this document presents searches for new channels which may be used for CP measurements. The second part is dedicated to hadronic decays with tests of QCD factorization predictions and other models for B structure and decay mechanisms. A new result on the reference branching ratio D{sub s}{sup +} {yields} {phi}{pi}{sup +} is also reported.
