This product of the Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI) provides minimum standards for design and construction of hospitals and outpatient facilities. Included in the Guidelines for Hospitals and Outpatient Facilities is information on the planning, design, construction, and commissioning process and facility requirements for both hospitals and outpatient facilities. Included are general hospitals, psychiatric hospitals, and rehabilitation facilities as well as new chapters on children's and critical access hospitals. Outpatient facilities covered include primary care facilities; outpatient surgery facilities; birth centers; urgent care centers; mobile units; outpatient psychiatric and rehabilitation centers; facilities for endoscopy, dialysis, and cancer treatment; and a new chapter on dental facilities.
