Thomas Sturman was born in County Bucks, England in 1584. He and his wife, Ann, were married ca. 1617. They had five children born in England. They family immigrated to America in 1640 and settled first in Maryland, and later moved to Westmoreland County, Virginia. He died in Westmoreland County in 1654. He married Virginia Ann Glascock, daughter of Clayton Francis Glascock and Gertrude Francis Wright, 4 February 1954. They had four children.
