The residents of Madison, Indiana celebrated its 200-year Bicentennial on June 6 - 14, 2009. A team of photographers organized by RoundAbout Madison Newspaper captured the color and excitement of people taking part in dozens of events held throughout the week. This commemorative photo journal of the week was produced as an official publication of the Madison Bicentennial. It includes photos of the fire that broke out just three weeks earlier at the historic Jefferson County Courthouse located in the heart of town which was nearing completion of an extensive renovation for the Bicentennial.
