Durante décadas, la nación de Colombia ha sufrido el flagelo del desplazamiento forzado debido al conflicto armado, lo cual ha dejado más de ocho millones sin hogar y sin tierra. Para responder ante esta crisis, los teólogos de la Fundación Universitaria Seminario Bíblico de Colombia crearon una metodología—la investigación-acción misional—a fin de entender el fenómeno del desplazamiento forzado, movilizar las iglesias del país y así fomentar la recuperación holística de las víctimas. Se involucraron docenas de estudiosos y profesionales de cuatro continentes, además de coinvestigadores seleccionados de las mismas comunidades desplazadas. La investigación abarcó los campos de la teología, la economía, la política, la pedagogía, la sociología y naturalmente la teología. El fruto de esta colaboración innovadora fue una intervención llamada Fe y Desplazamiento, la cual se ha implementado en docenas de comunidades a lo largo del país. Este libro recopila sus hallazgos y aprendizajes, describiendo el potencial de la metodología de investigación-acción misional y demostrando el poder de la investigación teológica interdisciplinar, puesta al servicio de la misión de la iglesia local.

Recent political changes in Colombia have opened up possibilities to think beyond the long-standing conflict and violence to promote a development agenda, based upon economic growth, social welfare and environmental protection. This book discusses dignity in the organizational context. Combining diverse theoretical and methodological approaches, as well as empirical studies, this book examines the concept of dignity between organizations and a variety of stakeholders. Going beyond the traditional approach of the relationship between company and employees, and beyond the traditional perspective of human dignity in a Kantian or post-Kantian approach, this volume innovates by discussing dignity from different epistemic perspectives, bringing to the fore dignity, inserted in different organizational and cultural contexts. The volume is divided into five parts. The first part is dedicated to the concept of dignity in the organizational sphere (dignity inside organizations, dignity between organizations and their stakeholders, and dignity in business-to-business relationships) discussed under different epistemic approaches. The second part deals with dignity in the relationships between companies and employees. The third part deals with the relationship between companies and clients. The fourth part of the book studies business-to-business relationships, addressing the educational sector, restaurants, and microcredit. Finally, the fifth part focuses on the relationships between the organizational dignity construct and other constructs, such as stress, spirituality and trust. Opening new theoretical and methodological perspectives for the study of dignity, this book will be of use to researchers and students studying management, leadership, and business strategy, as well as management and HR professionals.

This volume explores how Colombian novelists, artists, performers, activists, musicians, and others seek to enact—to perform, to stage, to represent—human rights situations that are otherwise enacted discursively, that is, made public or official, in juridical and political realms in which justice often remains an illusory or promised future. In order to probe how cultural production embodies the tensions between the abstract universality of human rights and the materiality of violations on individual human bodies and on determined groups, the volume asks the following questions: How does the transmission of historical traumas of Colombia’s past, through human rights narratives in various forms, inform the debates around the subjects of rights, truth and memory, remembrance and forgetting, and the construction of citizenship through solidarity and collective struggles for justice? What are the different roles taken by cultural products in the interstices among rights, laws, and social justice within different contexts of state violence and states of exception? What are alternative perspectives, sources, and (micro)histories from Colombia of the creation, evolution, and practice of human rights? How does the human rights discourse interface with notions of environmental justice, especially in the face of global climate change, regional (neo)extractivism, the implementation of megaprojects, and ongoing post-accord thefts and (re)appropriations of land? Through a wide range of disciplinary lenses, the different chapters explore counter-hegemonic concepts of human rights, decolonial options struggling against oppression and market logic, and alternative discourses of human dignity and emancipation within the pluriverse.
