The public schools were attended by boys and girls, in all, and the private by boys and girls, in all, making a total attendance of pupils. This makes 1 pupil in the public schools to 47 persons, and in the private 1 to 83 persons. The total expenses for the public schools were pesos, so that each pupil cost 19 pesos, and each inhabitant was indebted pesos for the public schools.
