This volume contains the proceedings of the Conference on Dynamical Systems, Ergodic Theory, and Probability, which was dedicated to the memory of Nikolai Chernov, held from May 18–20, 2015, at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Birmingham, Alabama. The book is devoted to recent advances in the theory of chaotic and weakly chaotic dynamical systems and its applications to statistical mechanics. The papers present new original results as well as comprehensive surveys.

This book grew out of the 2021 Chapel Hill Ergodic Theory Workshop (https://ergwork.web.unc.edu/schedule-of-talks-201/) during which young and senior researchers presented recent advances in ergodic theory and dynamical systems. Included are original research and survey articles devoted to various topics in Ergodic Theory and Dynamical Systems. Some are from presenters at this workshop. This book attracts young and senior researchers alike.

This volume contains selected expository lectures delivered at the annual Maurice Auslander Distinguished Lectures and International Conference over the last several years. Reflecting the diverse landscape of modern representation theory of algebras, the selected articles include: a quick introduction to silting modules; a survey on the first decade of co-t-structures in triangulated categories; a functorial approach to the notion of module; a representation-theoretic approach to recollements in abelian categories; new examples of applications of relative homological algebra; connections between Coxeter groups and quiver representations; and recent progress on limits of approximation theory.

This volume contains the proceedings of the AMS Special Session on Higher Genus Curves and Fibrations in Mathematical Physics and Arithmetic Geometry, held on January 8, 2016, in Seattle, Washington. Algebraic curves and their fibrations have played a major role in both mathematical physics and arithmetic geometry. This volume focuses on the role of higher genus curves; in particular, hyperelliptic and superelliptic curves in algebraic geometry and mathematical physics. The articles in this volume investigate the automorphism groups of curves and superelliptic curves and results regarding integral points on curves and their applications in mirror symmetry. Moreover, geometric subjects are addressed, such as elliptic 3 surfaces over the rationals, the birational type of Hurwitz spaces, and links between projective geometry and abelian functions.

This volume includes three survey articles based on short courses in the areas of commutative algebraic groups, modular group representation theory, and thick tensor ideals of bounded derived categories.

This volume contains the proceedings of the Second Workshop of Mexican Mathematicians Abroad (II Reunión de Matemáticos Mexicanos en el Mundo), held from December 15–19, 2014, at Centro de Investigación en Matemáticas (CIMAT) in Guanajuato, Mexico. This meeting was the second in a series of ongoing biannual meetings aimed at showcasing the research of Mexican mathematicians based outside of Mexico. The book features articles drawn from eight broad research areas: algebra, analysis, applied mathematics, combinatorics, dynamical systems, geometry, probability theory, and topology. Their topics range from novel applications of non-commutative probability to graph theory, to interactions between dynamical systems and geophysical flows. Several articles survey the fields and problems on which the authors work, highlighting research lines currently underrepresented in Mexico. The research-oriented articles provide either alternative approaches to well-known problems or new advances in active research fields. The wide selection of topics makes the book accessible to advanced graduate students and researchers in mathematics from different fields.

This volume contains the proceedings of the International Conference on Vorticity, Rotation and Symmetry (IV)—Complex Fluids and the Issue of Regularity, held from May 8–12, 2017, in Luminy, Marseille, France. The papers cover topics in mathematical fluid mechanics ranging from the classical regularity issue for solutions of the 3D Navier-Stokes system to compressible and non-Newtonian fluids, MHD flows and mixtures of fluids. Topics of different kinds of solutions, boundary conditions, and interfaces are also discussed.
