Driven from Home; Or, Carl Crawford's Experience is a 1890 novel by Horatio Alger Jr. It tells the story of Carl Crawford, a young boy who is driven from home by his cruel stepmother. Carl sets out on his own, determined to make a better life for himself. Along the way, he faces many challenges, but he also meets kind and helpful people who help him on his journey. In the end, Carl achieves success through hard work and determination. The novel is set in the late 19th century, and it provides a glimpse into the lives of working-class boys at that time. Carl is a bright and hardworking boy, but he is also poor and has no one to look after him. When his stepmother drives him from home, he is forced to fend for himself.
