In 1936 and at just 17years old, Yusuf Abbas murders two desert travellers for their camels and worldly goods. In 1950 and now calling himself Sheikh Yusuf Abbas, he murders a British Ambassador and the members of a British oil exploration company, shortly afterwards, when a neighbouring Sheikh and his family are poisoned, he merges their lands to create the Sabba Oil empire. On the other side of the world, Richard Neilson, a sickly 14-year-old is devastated when his beloved father (whilst working in Egypt) is decapitated by Arab fanatics. He vows to avenge his death. Two years later, and having thrown himself into a gruelling fitness regime, he enlists in the army and eventually wins selection into the SAS. Najeeb Abbas (Yusuf’s son) is a malevolent, unremorseful psychopath who, upon leaving Cambridge University with a degree in nuclear physics, persuades his father to fund a desert research facility to tackle global warming. But beneath the façade, his intentions are much darker and the consequences of his actions prove fatal for his remorseful father and potentially devastating for the Gulf of Mexica and Canadian Cantrell’s oilfields. Fate throws these two polar opposite lives together, and once again Richard’s family is threatened by Abbas’ deep-rooted intentions to destroy. Will he succeed? Or will Richard finally get the revenge he’s spent most of his life planning? Discover for yourself in this dark, gritty, and electrifying world of Al-Qaeda, terrorist conspiracies, SAS heroes, M16 agents, suicide bombings, assassination plans and desert ops – where revenge stops at nothing.

Once and now, a little girl who plays with ghosts and spirits is lost in the desert… No family, no friends, just memories of an old life in a world of cities and cars, and a head full of visions and dreams that don’t belong in the world. She likes to tell stories. She stinks of camel. Once, she will say, “The scorpion was not always a creature of pain, just as each of us was not always what we have become.” Many times, she wonders what she is worth to the living who sell her, buy and steal her, to the spirits and ghosts and djinn and ghuls she plays with, to the Caravan of the Dead she comes to belong to, to the dead who wake her and are awakened by her. Once and now, she wonders what others are willing to pay for her stories… “A redemptive story of the saving magic of story itself. Lose yourself, and find yourself, in the tale of Aini, a virgin storyteller cast adrift by selfish parents to the whims of the desert to make her way in the world…maybe all the way to the Caravan of Dreams. In this short novel, Houarner has crafted a fantastic, beautifully dark journey to the center of the secret heart!” — John Everson, Bram Stoker Award-winning author of Covenant and NightWhere "Houarner, always a maestro of the “smart” horror tale, further hones his art in this scary provocative nod to The Thousand and One Nights and other ancient traditions of phantasmal story-telling. Chock full the macabre and populated by the arabesque horrors of a culture far older than ours, this great new work by Houarner is a Must Read for all venturers into weird fiction.” —Edward Lee, author of White Trash Gothic and City Infernal

Hi, I am a journalist living in Turkey. Investigating the paranormal is one of my personal hobbies. In this book, you will read about some of my readers' experiences with djinns that they have shared with me. Of course, on condition that the personal details of those who told me these stories are kept confidential. As you know, paranormal subjects such as djinns, ghosts, etc. are very controversial. Naturally, the stories in this book may be met with scepticism from many points of view. Personally, I have many scientific theories about the content, causes and qualities of almost all the stories shared with me. However, my aim in this compilation is not to make a scientific analysis of the djinn experiences in the book or to propagandise any subject. My aim is to share them with the readers just as they were told to me; as personal horror or mystery stories. I hope you can enjoy reading them as much as I did. By the way; I recommend you to read the "Beliefs About Djinns" section at the end of the book before starting the book. This is a useful section that will both facilitate your understanding of the stories in the book and provide you with new information about the belief in djinns.

Dreams are an admonition and good tidings - and above all an inspiration for our lives! This comprehensive reference work contains the collected knowledge of Islamic dream interpreters from various centuries, which the author has meticulously collected, evaluated and written down over many years. It thus gives readers in German and English-speaking countries access to the centuries-old knowledge of the Islamic cultural sphere. The dream interpretations, from A for Abdest (Islamic ritual ablution) to Z for Zulkifl (the prophet Ezekiel), serve as inspiration, show the diversity of this discipline and at the same time convey a definite knowledge of the importance attributed to dreaming in Islamic culture.
