This eclectic collection of academic essays, creative writing, and mixed media photo-images focuses on myriad representations of disability. For more than forty years, Chicana author Ana Castillo has produced novels, poems, and critical essays that forge connections between generations; challenge borders around race, gender, and sexuality; and critically engage transnational issues of space, identity, and belonging. This collection of essays analyzes shifting notions of self as represented in films and novels written and produced in Spain in the twenty-first century.
