The General Record Book includes proceedings of annual town meetings and meetings of the Board of Supervisors, 1923-1949; reports of receipts and disbursements, 1923-1948; and record of oaths of office, 1924-1938. Annual reports note receipts and disbursements, summaries of tax collections, fire department reports, and details on payments for relief. Not all years are present. Election volumes include lists of voters. Board of Health vital statistics are a mix of originals and copies. Justice of the Peace dockets document primarily monetary disputes but also include a few extensive proceedings and testimony in criminal cases. The volume for 1897-1917 contains the judge's notes on the "characteristics and care and management of horses."

Annual reports by the clerks of school districts within Brown County. Indicates the number of children taught in each school, number of graduates, experience of teachers, financial statistics, curriculum, and other data regarding the operation of the school. Includes school censuses, which include names of parents or guardians, address, distance from schoolhouse, names of children between ages of 4 and 20, age, date of birth, sex, and schools attended.
