Note: ALL proceeds from the sale of this publication will go to charity. The Holy Quran is a compilation of 114 chapters, revealed to prophet Muhammad (pbuh) over a period of 23 years. However, the arrangement of these in the universally accepted Uthmanic Codex is different to the chronological order in which the divine verses were revealed. This book presents a chronological arrangement of the chapters in the Noble Quran, with the primary objectives as follows: to deliver a concise and yet a fundamental summary of the key life events of prophet Muhammad (pbuh); to present English translation of selected verses from the Quranic chapters; to provide a foundation understanding of the Quranic revelations in light of the life events of the Prophet and the circumstances prevalent at the time. This book has been kept short in length, with the intention that the reader is able to gain the essential familiarity with the subject matter, relatively easily. Although, much written work is available on the teachings of the Quran, the literature on the time-order arrangement of the divine revelations in the context of the events at the time, is rather scarce. In this respect, the book also aims to fill a gap that currently exists in this body of knowledge.

This first complete translation of Theodor Nöldeke’s The History of the Qurʾān offers a foundational work of modern Qurʾānic studies to the English-speaking public. Nöldeke’s original publication, as revised and expanded over nearly three quarters of a century by his scholarly successors, Friedrich Schwally, Gotthelf Bergsträsser and Otto Pretzl, remains an indispensable resource for any scholarly work on the text of the Qurʾān. Nöldeke’s segmentation of the surahs into three Meccan periods and a Medinan one has shaped all subsequent discussions of the chronology of the Qurʾān. This is the first translation of the Quran by an American woman. It is a universal and inclusive translation with the hope that Islam will be better understood in the West. She also challenges the use of the wowrd "to beat" in 4: 34 as meaning "to go away" which is how the Prophet of Islam understood the word as it has historically justified violence against and abuse of Muslim women. Barakatud Du'a or The Blessings of Prayer, written by the Promised Messiah in 1893, is a refutation of Sir Sayyid Ahmad Khan's view that there is no such thing as the acceptance of prayer, and that prayer is no more than a form of worship. The Promised Messiah rejects this view and proclaims that Allah hears and accepts the supplication of believers which are offered in humility and sincerity, and that the acceptance of prayer sets in motion its own chain of causes which culminates in the fulfilment of the objective prayed for. In the second part of the book, which deals with Sir Sayyid Ahmad Khan's other book Usulut Tafsir (On the Principles of Commentary of the Holy Quran), the Promised Messiah presents his criteria or guiding principles for the correct interpretation of the Holy Quran.
