The lightning flight of thought itself, could not glance at all that memory - would de light to recal, and the glowmg colors of poetry and eloquence would be required to finish the portrait; but these are not mine, and you must be content with a hasty, unadorned reference to a few of the incidents of his eventful life, and plain suggestions of the instruc tion to be drawn from his actions and his death: and these made, not in the spirit of idolatry for a fellow man, but with profound gratitude to Heaven, which created such an agent for human good.
