Written by Luella Agnes Owen in 1898 this work ( originally entitled Cave Regions of the Ozarks and Black Hills) contained information on cave formations in the Missouri Ozarks and the Black Hills of South Dakota. During the editing process I decided to focus only on the cave regions of the Ozarks. Updated information and images of the regions described by Owen have been included where possible. In addition I have included information about cave formations in both Perry and St. Francois counties of Missouri that were not known to Owen at the time of her expedition.- Clint Lacy
