Bob and Rob are two squirrels who just love eating corn on the cob. Their friends—a duck, a dog, a chicken, and a piglet—also love corn on the cob, but not Ella Mae Dobbs, a rabbit with a more refined palate. She’s a little bit of a snob when it comes to trying foods she doesn’t like. She prefers curly-cut carrots, hot cheese fondue, and especially tofu! Bob and Rob devise a plan to get Ella Mae to try corn on the cob—and in return they will try some of her favorite foods too. And while they may not find their next favorite food, Bob, Rob, and even Ella Mae Dobbs find that it’s important to try new foods. You may be pleasantly surprised at what you find. From debut author and illustrator Todd McQueen, Bob & Rob & Corn on the Cob is a whimsical, educational, and hilarious romp into the world of two corn on the cob–loving squirrels. Perfect for the picky eater in your life who isn’t getting the message through Green Eggs and Ham, this is sure to have them giggling while trying foods they originally turned up their noses at. For ages 3 to 6, this is the book all parents will want their picky eaters to read this summer. The playful rhyming of the text makes this a great read-aloud at home or at school and Bob and Rob are sure to become kids' next favorite story-book characters. Sky Pony Press, with our Good Books, Racehorse and Arcade imprints, is proud to publish a broad range of books for young readers—picture books for small children, chapter books, books for middle grade readers, and novels for young adults. Our list includes bestsellers for children who love to play Minecraft; stories told with LEGO bricks; books that teach lessons about tolerance, patience, and the environment, and much more. While not every title we publish becomes a New York Times bestseller or a national bestseller, we are committed to books on subjects that are sometimes overlooked and to authors whose work might not otherwise find a home.

Have you ever looked forward to something with such excitement and anticipation that it completely consumed you? You thought about it constantly during the day, dreamed about it at night, and talked about it incessantly. You could hardly wait for it to occur. You couldn't eat. You couldn't sleep. You paced the floor, hoping time would pass quickly; but the hands on the clock seemed to have stopped. Finally the waiting was over! Your heart was pounding. Your body was shaking. And then it was there! And it was a dud! A disappointment! A disaster! Not at all what you had been anxiously awaiting. Now you are no longer filled with excitement and anticipation; you are devastated and deeply depressed! Every day, everywhere, children and youth are devastated and deeply depressed over the disappointment of their "it." And there are a multitude of "its" for them ... parents; siblings; extended family; friends; enemies; rivals; bullies; peer pressure; relationships with the opposite sex; responsibilities; school; health, including disorders; money; and on and on and on. What ways do they find to cope with their depression? Sadly, most often through inappropriate behaviors toward themselves and others; addictions to drugs, alcohol, and sex; eating disorders; and attempts to commit suicide. Because of the seriousness of these issues, Ima Pea was written. Through Ima's adventures and the interactive study guide, children and youth will be introduced to the greatest truth and joy, who changes lives now and forever!

The legend that was Robert Sparks Walker began in a log cabin outside Chattanooga called Spring Frog Cabin, a humble abode built by a Cherokee naturalist in 1750. Walker would continue in the footsteps of that Cherokee to become synonymous both with Chattanooga and nature, penning thousands of articles, poems and books as a naturalist. Nominated for a Pulitzer Prize, Walker gained international fame for his work, yet his largest impact remains in his native Tennessee. He helped to found the Chattanooga Audubon Society, including preserving his childhood home through Audubon Acres. Walker is remembered throughout the state for his nationally syndicated nature column, and the Lifetime Achievement Award for Environmental Stewardship is given in his name. His life was one of adventure, reflection and a deep devotion to the understanding and preservation of nature. Local author Alexandra Walker Clark, granddaughter of Robert Sparks Walker, celebrates the life of this Scenic City pioneer.
