Here is a preview of what is inside this book: Why Seniors Choose to Retire in Europe 12 Questions to Ask Yourself When Thinking About Retiring in Europe 15 Great Places to Retire in Europe Conclusion An excerpt from the book: Berlin is situated within the enormous plains of northeastern Germany. Its rich history, notable culture and the infinite number of things you can do in this capital city of Germany make it an excellent place to retire. For a city that is the same size as Berlin, 3.502 million people is not a lot compared to other cities and because of that, your daily activities go by uninterrupted. Clean, green and spacious, its streets and parks are a favorite place for runners and cyclists. Berlin's move to stand out as both an economic hub and a city that promotes a greener environment are some the things that tourists and retirees admire the most. There are moments when the city's buildings and infrastructures feel like they stand there as an accompaniment to the lush and colorful trees surrounding them.Another thing that retirees and tourists admire about Berlin is its approach when it comes to redirecting traffic and reinforcing the law. If you would spend even just one day in Berlin, you would notice how safe it is to be on the streets, and for a retiree, this can already be a primary selling point for the city.Owning a car in Berlin is not necessary, because its streets and roads are both pedestrian- and bicycle-friendly. The Southwestern United States continues to attract retirees seeking a great place to retire. It is easy to understand why. Abundant sunshine, striking natural landscapes and a relaxed lifestyle are hallmarks of this part of the country. Unfortunately, many towns in the Southwest are expensive. Places such as Flagstaff, Arizona and Georgetown, Texas are often hailed as great places to retire, but they have living costs that are above the national average. Here, though, we have eighteen Southwestern towns that are worth considering for retirement. Each has living costs equal to or below the national average. Some of these towns are fairly well known, while others are still off the national radar. All of these places have safe neighborhoods, recreational and/or cultural amenities, a local or nearby public library, local or nearby accredited medical facilities and some sort of water conservation plan. Each also has a welcoming quality that makes it a desirable place to live. No one place is perfect, however, so we take a look at each town's drawbacks as well.
