Lessons learned from past betrayals can protect Colby Vincent's heart or cost him a chance at happiness he never thought to have. Colby thought he'd never let anyone close again after being betrayed by everyone he loved, but one closeted, stubborn oilfield worker with a penchant for dressing like a cowboy seems determined to out himself and win Colby's heart. It's as if Hunter Talamentez walked right out of Colby's fantasies and into the convenience store where Colby works. But Hunter is closeted, and he's never considered changing that. He's got his homophobic cousin with him, a family that he knows won't support him if they know the truth about who he is and a job where being out could get him hurt. He resigned himself to spending his life alone until he gets to know Colby. Then he embarks on a journey with Colby that will change their lives if only they both find the strength to take a few chances. Nothing comes easily, and learning to give from the heart when that heart has been shattered twice before might be more than Colby is capable of. He isn't sure about having more than a fling with Hunter, yet he can't seem to stay away from the man, either. What was meant to be one night together turns into more, and Colby loses his ability to keep Hunter at the safe distance he'd wanted.

The Adventures of Harry and Paul continue with the second book in the series of The Adventures of Harry and Paul. Paul John Hausleben's first full-length novel is the novel that many readers and critics consider his ultimate masterpiece of storytelling. The novel also provides a segue to the many other adventures and stories that follow. The author’s first book, The Time Bomb in The Cupboard and Other Adventures of Harry and Paul was the first book in the series of adventures. Those stories were where readers first met the two (arguably) most famous characters of the author, but most readers and critics agree that The Night Always Comes is where the author defined them forever and where we fell in love with them. Now, many years after its initial release, The Night Always Comes is a reader's favorite and the novel that carries the label of a true classic, with heartwarming storylines laced with the author's extraordinary flair for humor and details, and his wide assortment of fascinating characters. This novel will bring you to tears, but it will also lift your spirits up with laughter and the joy of life. Most of all, it remains unforgettable while the story etches itself forever into the mind of the reader. When the bombastic, yet ever loveable, but overwhelming Harry M. Redmond Junior purchases a brand-new fancy sports car, and slips behind the wheel of his famous Trans Whizzer (AKA Trans Am) the wild adventures begin. Once more, Harry drags his best friend Paul John Henson along for the ride. While Paul narrates the adventures via a captivating play-by-play, we experience it all as the two heroes meet beautiful young women; they fall in love; they get themselves and their women into crazy adventures and situations, and then as they experience the joy and love of life, they also experience the heartache and the despair of life too. This novel contains one of the author’s most famous humorous chapters “The Flipper Strikes Back” as Paul hilariously details a horrifying ride on a sadistic amusement park ride! The Night Always Comes is still the novel that clearly defines this very talented author, within volumes and volumes of his extensive library of material, and it will forever remain a favorite work of Mr. Paul John Hausleben.

Queer Masculinities: A Critical Reader in Education is a substantial addition to the discussion of queer masculinities, of the interplay between queer masculinities and education, and to the political gender discourse as a whole. Enriching the discourse of masculinity politics, the cross-section of scholarly interrogations of the complexities and contradictions of queer masculinities in education demonstrates that any serious study of masculinity—hegemonic or otherwise—must consider the theoretical and political contributions that the concept of queer masculinity makes to a more comprehensive and nuanced understanding of masculinity itself. The essays adopt a range of approaches from empirical studies to reflective theorizing, and address themselves to three separate educational realms: the K-12 level, the collegiate level, and the level in popular culture, which could be called ‘cultural pedagogy’. The wealth of detailed analysis includes, for example, the notion that normative expectations and projections on the part of teachers and administrators unnecessarily reinforce the values and behaviors of heteronormative masculinity, creating an institutionalized loop that disciplines masculinity. At the same time, and for this very reason, schools represent an opportunity to ‘provide a setting where a broader menu can be introduced and gender/sexual meanings, expressions, and experiences boys encounter can create new possibilities of what it can mean to be male’. At the collegiate level chapters include analysis of what the authors call ‘homosexualization of heterosexual men’ on the university dance floor, while the chapters of the third section, on popular culture, include a fascinating analysis of the construction of queer ‘counternarratives’ that can be constructed watching TV shows of apparently hegemonic bent. In all, this volume’s breadth and detail make it a landmark publication in the study of queer masculinities, and thus in critical masculinity studies as a whole.

Does God, in His infinite wisdom, convince people to get rid of their car insurance? Does He encourage cannibalism? Does the God of more than six billion people actually have time to root for the Minnesota Vikings? According to some, yes. How do they know? God told them. Luckily, God also told Marc Hartzman to write this book, a collection of the most shocking, absurd, and hilarious things people have ever claimed God asked them to do, and to present them for your pure reading enjoyment. Including: The man that God told to perform surgery on himself God's generous offer to miraculously fill his believer's gas tank The fateful day God (assumedly feeling nostalgic for his teen years) asked a man to TP a police station The woman God instructed to direct traffic—topless And, sadly, many more
