The branching fractions for the decays B → Pℓ&ngr; ℓ, where P are the pseudoscalar charmless mesons pi +/-, pi0, eta and eta' and ℓ is an electron or muon, are measured with B 0 and B+/- mesons found in the recoil of a second B meson decaying as B → D ℓnuℓ or B → D*ℓnu ℓ. The measurements are based on a data set of 348 fb-1 of e+e- collisions at s = 10.58 GeV recorded with the BABAR detector. Assuming isospin symmetry, measured picnic branching fractions are combined into BB0 →p-ℓ+ nℓ= 1.54+/-0.17stat +/-0.09syst x10-4 . First evidence of the B+ → etaℓ +nuℓ decay is seen; its branching fraction is measured to be BB+→ hℓ+nℓ =0.64+/-0.02sta t+/-0.03 systx10-4 . It is determined that BB+→h 'ℓ+nℓ

Assuming isospin symmetry, measured pionic branching fractions are combined into [beta](B0 → [pi]-l+vl) = (1.54 ± 0.17(stat) ± 0.09(syst)) x 10-4. First evidence of the B+ → [eta]l+vl decay is seen; its branching fraction is measured to be [beta](B+ →[eta]l+vl) = (0.64 ± 0.20(stat) ± 0.03(syst)) x 10-4. It is determined that [beta](B+ → [eta]'l+vl)
