Ivan Washington Jennings was born in 1918 in Medway, Ohio. His parents were William Green Jennings (1888-1920) and Oda Mae Jacobs (1895-1959). He married Ethel Eileen Grimes (1918-2004), daughter of George Grimes and Ethel McGlone, in 1940 in Covington, Ohio. They had seven children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Germany, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Ohio.
