The International Science Congress Association organized the 2nd International Science Congress (ISC-2012) with 'Science and Technology - Challenges of 21st Century' as its focal theme. ISC-2012 was divided in 20 sections. A total number of 800 Research Papers and 1200 registrations from 23 countries all over the world have been received. They was mainly from Bangladesh, Bulgariya, Cameroun, France, Greece, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Korea, Lithuania, Malaysia, Nigeria, Nepal, Phillipines, Pakistan, Poland, Romania, Slovakiya, USA, Ukraine, Venezuela, Turkey and India.

Abstracts of II International Scientific and Practical Conference

The aim of this study is to determine PstI polymorphism in the exon 6 region of the Pituitary-specific Transcription Factor (Pit-1) gene which is regarded as a candidate gene in mammals in regulating growth and development in 6 different goat breeds reared in Turkey. PstI polymorphism in Pit-1 gene (450 bp) was investigated by Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism (RFLP) method in a total of 217 goats including 36 Hair, 18 Angora, 43 Kilis, 37 Honamlı, 46 Halep and 37 heads of Saanen breeds.

India with Science and Technology for Sustainable Development as its focal theme. The congress was hosted by Maharaja Ranjit Singh College of Professional Sciences on 24th and 25th December 2011. It was distributed in 20 sections. A total 900 Research Papers and 1300 registrations all over the world were received. Delegates from Malaysia, Egypt, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Indonesia, Iran, South Africa, Iraq, Mexico, Japan, Uganda, Pakistan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Russia, Latvia, Nepal, Lithuanian and from length and breadth of our nation participated in the ISC-2011.
