Peter Jett was born in England. He married Mary Jett and they had five children. They emigrated in about 1663 and settled near Peppertocks Creek in Rappahannock County, Virginia. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois and Texas.
