A coordinated record of the design of a FMPC processing plant for the production of pure massive U from U-contrining raw materials is presented. A thorough understanding of FMPC operations may be obtained through the medium of over-all flow diagrams and associated rate criteria.(auth).

Process design information concerning equipment and operation of a plant to produce UF4 from UO3 is presented. Included are process flow diagrams, drawings of ventilation and dust control systems, and vent gas systenas. Advanced Sciences, Incorporated (ASI), has been performing a Remedial Investigation and Feasibility Study (RI/FS) at the Feed Materials Production Center (Fernald Facility) at Fernald, Ohio, under an 8 (a) contract with the US Small Business Administration (SBA). The Fernald Facility is a Government-owned facility operated by Westinghouse Materials Company of Ohio (WMCO) under a management and operating contract. The objective of this audit was to evaluate the award and administration of the ASI contract.
