Speaks of a trip to Lake George where he met Mr. Sullivan and was entertained by the family of General Banks. Laments the fact that Malone will not be producing Fair Rosamond at Bluff Point. Also mentions Hackett's bicycle accident and going to the races in Saratoga.

The enclosure (no longer with letter) was cut from the Kansas City Times. The statements made within cheapen and depreciate Malone's work.

Camp has received the tickets for May 17 and is glad to avail himself of an opportunity to hear Malone's lecture.

Regarding payment for two tickets.

Malone thanks Winter for his favor of the 15th and looks forward to meeting him on the 28th.

It is impossible for him to respond materially to the intention of Malone's letter. He hopes that the day is not too far distant when his affairs will again be comfortable and then he would be only too glad to help. This is a response to Y.c.5443.
